Riga Rental Intelligence Dashboard
Rental platforms show prices and photos. They don't help you decide. I built a system that scores every Riga apartment listing against your personal priorities (budget, commute, and space) and ranks them.
The problem
When looking for an apartment in Riga, you compare dozens of listings manually. Every platform gives you the same thing: price, photos, square meters. None of them answer the actual question: which apartment fits my life?
What I built
A fully automated pipeline with an interactive Power BI dashboard at the end. The user enters their preferred location via Google Forms. Make.com picks it up, normalises the address through the Google Maps API (including resolving Latvian abbreviations like "g." to "gatve" that break GPS lookups), then triggers an Apify actor to scrape current listings from SS.lv. Each listing gets enriched with real commute times by car and by public transit. Results land in Google Sheets, ready for Power BI.
The scoring model
In Power BI, DAX measures calculate three match scores per listing: RentMatch (price vs. budget), RoomMatch (rooms vs. needs), and DurationMatch (commute vs. tolerance). Each score sits on a 0–1 scale. A weight class system lets the user set priority coefficients. If commute matters more than price, it pulls more weight. The final ranking reflects your priorities, not the platform's.
